7th Annual Christmas Stroll
December 1 – 12, 2012
Win a $1,000 Riverview Shopping Spree during the Twelve Days of Christmas!

Plans are now underway for the 7th Annual Christmas Stroll, a promotional opportunity you won’t want to miss. In keeping with the Twelve Days of Christmas theme, there will be a total of twelve prizes awarded to lucky customers: eleven prize baskets valued at $50 in merchandise from participating businesses and a grand prize draw for a $1,000 Riverview Shopping Spree to be drawn on December 12th. The $1,000 prize will be awarded in the form of gift cards/certificates from participating retail businesses chosen by the winner*. This ensures the prize will be spent at Riverview businesses that participated in the Christmas Stroll. Prizes are provided by Business Riverview. (*Please note: Directors of Business Riverview are not eligible to win the $1,000 Christmas Stroll Grand Prize.)
Beginning the last week of November and wrapping up on December 12th, a multi-media advertising campaign will promote this exciting event. This will include a full page ad in the December edition of SNAP Moncton; a 1/8 page in the Times & Transcript This Week supplement; promotion in the Town of Riverview newsletter (delivered to all Riverview residences with the fall water bill); posters; radio advertising; and social media promotion including the Business Riverview website and Facebook page to encourage shoppers to drop by your business to fill out a ballot.
During this campaign, we also want to promote and direct traffic to your website! Participating businesses are invited to run a special or promotion on their website from December 1st to 12th. Business Riverview will prominently feature any participating businesses offering specials during the Christmas Stroll period on our website and provide a link to your website and Christmas promotion. When viewers click on the link to discover your Stroll specials and/or promotions, they will also have the opportunity to explore the full line of services and products your business has to offer. (Please note, your business is not expected to run customer discounts or promotions the entire length of the Christmas Stroll initiative. Any date(s) within this period is perfectly acceptable. The specific type of activity or promotion and choice of date(s) is entirely up to each business. The Christmas Stroll is designed to help you promote your business in a manner that is most appropriate and convenient to your unique business.)
Our Investment in Your Business
Once again this year, Business Riverview will be subsidizing the cost of the Christmas Stroll initiative to provide value for our members and to secure the involvement of as many members as possible. The projected cost for this campaign is $10,000. With Business Riverview’s financial investment in the initiative, the involvement of 28 businesses is required to proceed with this campaign.
We understand that different types of advertising and media work for different businesses. This year, participating businesses have a choice of two Christmas Stroll packages. Please see details below.
Package 1 $125
-Business listing in Snap Moncton (full page ad in the December edition)
-Christmas Stroll ballot box location **
-Business listing on Poster
-Social media promotion including the Business Riverview website and Facebook page
-Inclusion on list of eligible businesses to benefit from Grand Prize spending
-1/8 page ad in the Times & Transcript This Week supplement - due to space restrictions individual business names will not be listed
-Town of Riverview newsletter delivered with water bill supplement - due to space restrictions individual business names will not be listed
-Business Riverview website will direct public to participating businesses
